Intimate theatre spotlighting Black and Brown lived experiences.
Soul-O is a new series dedicated to the one person play, centering Black and Brown stories and storytelling. One person plays are a heavy lift for an actor, but when done right, offer an intimate, raw examination of the human experience, with deep introspection. At a time when so many members of our community are facing increased scrutiny these stories affirm our humanity and preserve our experiences and push back against harmful, dishonest narratives.
Our inaugural Soul-O presentation was No History a new play by Reynaldo Piniella, presented at NJPAC as a part of the 2025 Prudential North 2 Shore Festival.

Yendor Theatre Company’s Soul-O series returns to the North to Shore Festival with two raw, electric one-person plays by Black women. Soul-O is a platform for solo theatrical work rooted in the Black and Latine experience — combining artistry, history, and unapologetic truth-telling on a single stage.
